The Dr. Vera Bril Neuromuscular Day

The annual UofT Neuromuscular Day was established by Dr. Bril over two decades ago. This event gathers all the clinical faculty, fellows, residents, and researchers who work in neuromuscular disorders to share their ideas, to discuss new research findings, and, importantly, to advance the care of our patients.

The Division of Neurology announced the renaming of this important event on March 22, 2024 in recognition of Dr. Bril's extensive contributions to the field of neuromuscular medicine, both locally in Toronto and on a global scale. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the first female neurologist within our division to have an academic day named in her honor.
