Dr. Nadia Griller Please welcome Dr. Nadia Griller who is joining the University of Toronto Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology as of April 1st, 2020 as a Clinician Teacher based at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Dr. Griller obtained her medical degree from McMaster University, before joining us at the University of Toronto, first for her core internal medicine residency, and then in 2005 as a GI resident. She completed a 1 year clinical fellowship at Sunnybrook Hospital in 2018 under the supervision of Dr. Fred Saibil, followed by a Master’s in Education in the Health Professions, which she is due to complete this year.

Dr. Griller has already been working at Sunnybrook as a Clinical Associate, where her excellence in teaching has had an immediate impact. She will continue to maintain her clinical practice at Sunnybrook Hospital, where her clinical focus will be in providing rapid GI assessment for patients presenting to the emergency department and supporting her oncology colleagues to help manage patients with GI side effects of oncologic therapies.

In addition, she will be strengthening the educational experience for our GI/Hepatology Residents through her research in interprofessional education and by helping to develop our competency based curriculum. Lastly, she will also be joining our GI/Hepatology Leadership Group as our Lead for Physician Wellness and Community Strengthening where she will develop programming and resources to improve and maintain the well-being of our faculty

On behalf of the entire Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, welcome to the faculty!
