Department of Medicine support staff make their move: to the C. David Naylor Building
About Us, Faculty

On August 22, 2016, nine Department of Medicine support staff members transitioned to an on campus location – the C. David Naylor Building at 6 Queen’s Park Cres. West.
As the Department of Medicine experiences continual growth with respect to trainee admissions, faculty appointments and senior leadership positions, it was important to create – in the central Department of Medicine office at 190 Elizabeth Street, suite 3-805 – space for meetings, exams and learning sessions, and office space for senior leadership.
When looking for temporary space on campus for some of our support staff, the C. David Naylor Building seemed like an obvious fit.
David Naylor was a graduate of the University of Toronto’s medical school and went on to complete his internal medicine and clinical epidemiology training at Western University. He returned – as a faculty member – to the Department of Medicine at U of T in 1987 and was appointed full professor in 1996. Nine years later, Naylor was appointed President of the University of Toronto.
On October 21, 2015 the historic building was named after David Naylor to honour his many contributions to the University of Toronto.
Though it will be an adjustment having many of the DoM staff in a separate location, the staff remaining at 190 Elizabeth Street, suite 3-805, will too be moving to an on campus location in the next 12 to 18 months.
The following individuals can now be found at the C. David Naylor Building, 6 Queen’s Park Cres. West, third floor:
Ivan Cheng, Financial Officer: room 321 Cathy Chong, Finance Clerk: room 320 Joanna King, Research Administrator: room 303 Jocelyn Lagerquist, Communications Officer: room 304 Nelson Lo, Webmaster: room 304 Ed Lorens, Research Officer: room 307 Cecilia Manalo, Payroll and Financial Officer: room 321 Amy Wong, Finance Officer: room 321 **Clare Mitchell, Director of Business and Administration, will be located at C.
