Online Resident Base Hospital and Scheduling site (ORBS)

Welcome to the University of Toronto Core Internal Medicine Scheduling system – Online Resident Base Hospital and Scheduling site (ORBS).    

This web site has been developed to facilitate planning of your Core Medicine rotations, as well as the selection of your Base Hospital for your PGY1, PGY2 and PGY3.  During your first and second years, you will be assigned to different base hospitals, which will allow you to gain experience with a variety of different patient groups, clinical faculty and hospital structures. You may be able to return to a Base Hospital in your PGY3 permitting availability (this will be dependent on resident selection).

To access ORBS,  please go to www.orbs.utoronto.ca. On your first visit to ORBS you will need to register for an account using the following information: 

• Resident ID (Janine will contact you with your Resident ID)
• Unique username
• Password
• Date of Birth in the format MM/DD/YYYY (slashes must be included)

Residents will create their own username and password.

Information regarding your rotation selection for 2012-2013 will be posted shortly.  In the interim, we encourage you to start thinking about your options.  You may want to speak with your Base Hospital Site Director, CMR, or Rotation Coordinators regarding your options.
