Grant Deadlines
|
The following agencies have grants available for education research.
(If you know of others that we have missed, please let us know.)
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada)
There are several relevant grant opportunities available, all with deadlines of March 2nd, 2010.
These include the following, along with many others:
Physician Services Incorporated (Ontario)
PSI offers several opportunities (including research grants for residents). There are 4 cycles per year, and the next deadline is February 18, 2010.
Continuing Education Awards (University of Toronto)
"These Research & Development grants are intended to support projects that directly relate to the planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of continuing education for health professionals. These funds may be used as pilot funding for further research in the area."
There are two deadlines coming up: April 15th and September 15th, 2010.
Medical Council of Canada
The Medical Council of Canada funds "research in the field of assessment of clinical performance or clinical competence." The MCC currently offers three different types of grants:
Deadlines are February 1st, 2010.
Stemmler Fund, National Board of Medical Examiners (United States)
"The goal of the Stemmler Fund is to provide support for research or development of innovative assessment approaches that will enhance the evaluation of those preparing to, or continuing to, practice medicine."
The process changed last year and there is now a call for letters of intent ahead of the grant deadline in the fall. Last year it was in July, but it is not posted yet for 2010. Check back for more details.
Education Development Fund
Deadline this year was January 22nd, 2010. Please keep an eye on this space for developments and details for next year.
