Base Hospital Assignments |
||
| Every Core Internal Medicine resident will be assigned to one of our teaching hospitals as their administrative home base in their PGY1, PGY2, and PGY3. Support at your Base Hospital The hospital program director at your base hospital will meet with you to review in-training evaluations and assist in setting career goals. They will also act as your main contact if you have any problems, need advice or assistance throughout the academic year. Vacation and not on call requests will be submitted to the administrative office at your base. Rotations at your Base Hospital Residents will be assigned a different base hospital each academic year. This will maximize a resident's exposure to the unique programs each site offers, as well as the different hospital structures. Residents will not complete all of their rotations at their base hospital, ensuring that they get exposure at each site. However, in most cases residents will also complete their General Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine rotations at their base. For more information about base hospital assignments please visit the Online Resident Base Hospital and Scheduling Site (ORBS). Last updated:1/21/2011 3:34:48 PM
