Core Internal Medicine

The Core Internal Medicine Program at the University of Toronto is one of the largest in North America, with over 200 residents in three core years.

Our program offers a wealth of opportunity to work with top physicians across the city.  Residents will complete rotations at each of our teaching hospitals, ensuring that they not only have exposure to a large range of subspecialties but a variety of different patient groups, clinical faculty, and hospital structures.

Core Internal Medicine residents will also have the option of completing up to five months of electives (this could be a combination of research, approved selectives or electives which residents organize on their own).  This flexibility allows our residents to tailor their learning experience to meet individual needs.

We encourage you to review our web site to learn more about the Core Internal Medicine Program at the University of Toronto.
