Welcome to the CRISP Curriculum Development Page!
The Curriculum Development Process in CRISPCRISP aims to have a curriculum which is relevant, practical, and timely to its learners' needs. The starting point is the external requirements of the Royal College, and the CanMEDS framework of physician competencies. To access the Royal College's Internal Medicine program objectives of training, click here This external guidance must be influenced by the immediate needs of the resident group, in the Toronto setting, at each level of training. For this reason, an inclusive approach is taken to evolving the topics and methods of CRISP, taking advantage of areas of resident interest, and capitalizing on their motivation to be involved. Residents have been recruited, to participate in curriculum development discussions, to develop and help deliver actual sessions, and to be part of the oversight of the entire program. Of course, curriculum development is a never-ending proposition. Through the pages of this website, you can get a firm idea of what is being done in CRISP this year. As a trainee of the Internal Medicine program, or a faculty member of the Department of Medicine, you may wish to contribute new ideas, or help with an existing project. Trainees or Faculty wishing to participate in the Curriculum Development process for CRISP, are invited to contact the program here. Coming soon: - The projects we are working on this year, and their development teams - The relationship between CRISP and the other parts of the Core Internal Medicine Curriculum at U of T - Multiple links to the Themes at each year, People involved, and external sources will be added.Last updated:11/9/2009 4:15:34 PM
