The Department of Medicine in 2011—Who are we now?
Since I became Chair in 2004 we have recruited 207 new full-time faculty members and 50 have retired or moved to other institutions. Every September at our new faculty orientation day I am amazed by the superb young faculty members joining our Department. This large growth in numbers made me reflect on the question—who are we now? What are the characteristics of our Department as a whole in 2011? So here are some answers. [more] |
