LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

At the end of this presentation, participants should be able to:
1.   Identify failure of endogenous repair in the pathogenesis of diabetes complications;
2.   Appreciate the contribution of bone marrow derived cells in the regenerative process;
3.   Recognise the potential for cell therapy in the treatment of diabetes complications; and
4.   Recognise drug-based rejuvenation as a viable strategy in treating diabetes and its
complications.
