Objectives

1.      To discuss the pathophysiology of how neuromuscular diseases contribute to dyspnea.

2.      To review common respiratory complications encountered both chronically and acutely in this population.

3.      To discuss treatment options such as noninvasive ventilation including the benefits and practical hurdles one can experience when implementing therapy.
