The council of Education Deans have announced that applications for this year’s Education Development Fund (EDF) For Innovation in Education is available online this fall with an application deadline of January 22, 2010.
The EDF is a seed fund designed to catalyze initiatives that immediately and directly impact University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine education and teaching programs through innovation and development. Further information around this fund is available on line at: http://www.facmed.utoronto.ca/about/governance/council/edf.htm
It is strongly recommended that applicants pursue faculty development opportunities created to help educators quickly acquire the skills needed to apply for, and successfully complete projects. The Centre for Faculty Development is offering a workshop to help applicants submit strong Education Development Fund proposals. This workshop will be offered twice with one session in December and one in January. Participants who would like to attend both sessions will be provided with the opportunity in the second session to build on what they developed from the first session.
Participants should come with a project idea. Pre-work and advanced materials will be given to participants prior to the session.
