If Some RAAS Blockade is Good for the Kidneys,
Surely More is Better?

Objectives

1.      Describe the relative risk of death and renal death in high risk patients with various levels of proteinuria.

2.      Summarize the treatment options to manage high renal risk patients (low GFR and proteinuria).

3.      Provide new information on the risks and benefits to the heart and kidney from dual RAAS blockade with an ACEi and ARB compared to mono-therapy with either alone in high renal risk.
